Original Items: Only One Set Available. The South Korean government, under the administration of Park Chung-hee, took an active role in the Vietnam War. From September 1964 to March 1973, South Korea sent some 350,000 troops to South Vietnam. The South Korean Army, Marine Corps, Navy, and Air Force all participated as an ally of the United States. The number of troops from South Korea was much greater than those from Australia and New Zealand, and second only to the U.S. military force for foreign troops located in South Vietnam. The military commander was Lieutenant General Chae Myung-shin of the South Korean army.

This uniform set is for an American officer advisor to Republic of Korea (ROK) troops that were sent to Vietnam during the war. The jacket, pants and hat are matching  South Korean camouflage camouflage. The uniform is constructed of a lightweight cotton. The jacket has a red embroidered MADDONA name tape, 4-button closure, two front pockets (with single-button flaps) and Marine Corps style field cap with 4 vent holes and rank insignia to front. The name Maddon is spelled in ink on the underside of the brim.
